Richard E. Myers

MYERS, Richard “Dick”, age 81 of Xenia, passed away Wednesday, August 22, 2007, at Hospice of Dayton. Richard was a graduate of Fairview-White High School and the University of Dayton. His working life was spent in the plastics business; 33 years with Standard Molding and 10 years as president of Jamestown Plastics. He was also a lecturer in the Mathematics Department at Sinclair Community College for 31 years. He was preceded in death by his parents, Clarence Earle and Phoebe Myers, sister Nancy Jean Myers, daughter Susan Beth Myers and grandson G. Austin Snyder, III. Dick is survived by his loving wife of 30 years, Susan Myers (Roshong); 2 daughters; Ann Marie (George) Snyder and Myriah Jo Myers, both of Dayton; 2 sons; Jeffrey Paul (Kris) of Granville, OH and David Matthew (Pat) of Atlanta, GA; 4 grandchildren; Jessica Myers (Andrew) Rodbell, Joshua (Susanne) Myers, Nathaniel Snyder and Rachel Snyder. He was a former member of Grace United Methodist Church, the Dayton and Xenia YMCAs and a past president of the Downtown Dayton Kiwanis Club. Dick was an avid golfer and especially enjoyed working outdoors. The family will receive friends from 5:00 – 7:00 pm on Monday, August 27, 2007. A memorial service will follow at the Routsong Funeral Home, 2100 E. Stroop Rd., Kettering, OH.
