age 80, of Waynesville, born June 16, 1926, passed away Saturday, August 5, 2006. He was a member of St. Johns Lodge F&AM #13, Scottish Rite Valley of Dayton, Antioch Temple #9909, Veterans of Foreign Wars #9927, American Legion Post #598, Disabled American Veterans and Walnut Grove Country Club. He was a veteran of WWII serving in the Army Air Corps. Richard was co-owner of Holland Construction Co. He loved to work on his farm and above all was a very down to earth, genuine person. Preceded in death by his parents, Fredrick and Sarah Shirley Holland; brothers, Joseph, George and Fredrick Holland; sisters, Betty Marmon, Kathleen Britton; and step-son, Mark Connolly. Survived by his wife, Joan (Nielsen) Holland; sister, Ethel Kenny; son, Thomas (Linda) Holland; step-children, Rick Nelson, Shannon Nelson; grandchildren, Mike, April and Tracy Holland, Laura (Ron) Burke, Mathew Connolly, Josh, Jake and Sophie Nelson and Dylan, Gaylon Nelson; 6 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM, Wednesday, August 9, 2006 at Routsong Funeral Home, 2100 E. Stroop Rd., Kettering with Dr. Brooks Heck officiating. Burial in Spring Valley Cemetery. Family will receive friends from 5-7:00 PM, Tuesday at the funeral home.
