Richard W. Schweikert, Sr.

SCHWEIKERT, Richard "Dick" W., age 75, of Beavercreek, passed away on Saturday, July 19, 2014. Dick was born to the late Robert and Hulda V. (Nysewander) Schweikert in Springfield, OH. He attended Ohio University, Wittenberg University and the University of Dayton. Dick served his country during the Vietnam Era in the U.S. Army and worked as a sales manager for Hanson Products (formerly Price Brothers) for over 40 years. He is preceded in death by his parents and sister, Patricia. Dick is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Mary (Maston); children, Richard (Joanne) Schweikert, Jr., Barbara (Jerry) Malicki, Mark (Janet) Schweikert and Andrew (Cara) Schweikert; grandchildren, Richard III, Joe, Cole, Melanie, Maya, Jessie, Jake, and Joe; great-grandchildren, Thomas, Elizabeth, Jordan, Addison, and Weston; and many other family members and friends. The family would like to extend their deepest gratitude to Crossroads Hospice for all the wonderful care they gave Dick. Family will greet friends from 5:00-7:00pm on Monday, July 21, 2014 at Routsong Funeral Home, 2100 E. Stroop Rd. Kettering. Funeral services will be at 10:00am on Tuesday, July 22, 2014 at the funeral home. Inurnment in New Carlisle Cemetery at a later date.
