age 74 of Centerville, died Wed., Oct. 24, 2001. He was a graduate of the University of Dayton, attended Brookings Institute and the Federal Executive Institute and served in the Merchant Marines and then the U.S. Navy during WWII. Robert was a comptroller for the Defense Dept. in Battle Creek, Michigan. He attended Washington Heights Baptist Church. He was a member of the Lions Club in Marshall, MI, West Carrollton Lodge, and Scottish Rite, High 12 (Dayton). Survived by his wife of 55 years, Muriel I.; a son, Kent A. and his wife, Leslee of Angola, IN; a daughter, Karen A. Young of Memphis, TN; 3 grandchildren, Ryan A. Young, Kayla G. Young and Lindsey E. Young; 2 nephews and 3 nieces. A memorial service will be held at 10:30 A.M., Saturday in the Routsong Funeral Home, 81 N. Main St., Centerville with Pastor Sherwin Bowser officiating. If desired, contributions may be made to your charity of choice.
