Robert Alan Soller

SOLLER, Robert "Bob" Alan, age 83 of Adrian, passed away on Friday, January 6, 2012 in Dayton, Ohio. A lifelong passion for theatre and travel led Bob to pursue an education in the arts from Northwestern University, a Masters from the University of Hawaii, and graduate work at Indiana University. He used his vast knowledge to educate and change the lives of students from the Philippines, to the University of Hawaii, University of Wyoming, Wagner College, Siena Heights College, and on the stage of the Croswell Opera House during his many years as Artistic Director. Bob had a spirit of adventure, traveling to the far corners of the globe, always living life to its fullest. His impact was felt by many and he will be deeply missed by all who knew him. Preceded in death by his parents, Arnold and Vera Soller; his mother, Clarice Luger Soller; and his sister, Anne Hennessey (nee Soller). Robert is survived by his son, Eric (Stephanie) Soller and their children, Sophie and Elliot; his brother, Richard (Jean) Soller; nieces and nephews and many special friends in the Theatre community. A memorial service will be held at the Croswell Opera House, 129 East Maumee Street Adrian, MI 49221 on Monday, January 16, 2012 at 2:00pm.
