Robert (Bob) Zajovits

ZAJOVITS, Robert (Bob), Age 61, of Kettering, passed away on May 14, 2017. Bob was born November 27, 1955. He graduated from Fairmont West High School in 1973. From day one, Bob had an avid love of anything cars and racing. From Nascar to drag racing and funny cars, his love of speed led him to the auto race tracks where he began drag racing and learned to perfect his talent. Many days were spent at Kil-Kare Raceway, Ohio's premier raceway, on the track in his dragster, "Zajovits Racing." This passion for cars turned into his lifelong career in mechanics. In addition to his love of fast cars and racing, Bob loved music, particularly the band Journey; a fondness that he shared with his nephews. Bob will also be remembered for his unconditional love for his family and his Golden Retrievers. When not on the racetrack, he could often be found in the shop working on cars, always accompanied by his canine best friends. His beloved Golden Retrievers Brittany and Brandi left a legacy of Golden Retrievers throughout his entire family, one that continues to today. Bob was a loving and dedicated son, brother, uncle, and a friend to all who knew him. He will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered. Bob was preceded in death by parents Richard (Dick) and Donna Zajovits, He is survived by brother, Rick Zajovits; sister, Linda (Cary) Behymer; nephews, Chris, Brad, and Michael Behymer; aunt, Joan Meyers; uncle, Thurman Sanders; numerous cousins; dear friends, George, Patty, Matt Antrobius, Scott Britton; and his newest golden, 14-week old Mandy. The family will receive friends on Saturday, May 20, 2017 from 3-5:00p.m. at Routsong Funeral Home, 2100 E. Stroop Road. Kettering, Ohio 45429.
