Robert Braun

BRAUN, Robert Thomas "Bob", age 85, of Dayton passed away Tuesday, February 15, 2011. He attended Newport Catholic High School and graduated from the University of Cincinnati in 1951 with a bachelor degree in Chemical Engineering. Bob devoted over 30 years to Monsanto, most recently at Mound Lab. He was a member of St. Charles Borromeo Parish. Bob was an honest, dedicated family man who had many hobbies including sailing, hunting, painting, traveling, taking photographs and playing piano. He was a loving father, a generous friend and a great story teller. Bob loved to travel around the world, especially to Africa. He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 51 years Elizabeth K. Braun and his sister Rosemary Bloemer. Bob is survived by son, Thomas (Beth Brooks) Braun; daughter, Barbara (Jeff) Griffith and their son Robert; son, James (Chris) Braun and their daughter Katie; daughter, Elizabeth (Bill) Littlefield and children Lauren and Quinn; and brother, John C. Braun. The family will greet friends from 5:00 to 8:00pm on Friday, February 18, 2011 at Routsong Funeral Home, 2100 E. Stroop Rd., Kettering, OH, 45429. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30am on Saturday, February 19, 2011 at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church, 4500 Ackerman Blvd., Kettering, OH., 45429. A committal service will take place in David's Cemetery following the service.
