Robert C. Schamel D.D.S.

SCHAMEL, Robert C., D.D.S., age 82, of Washington Twp. passed away Wednesday, April 5, 2006 at Sunrise Assisted Living, Worthington, OH. Bob was a veteran of the US Army during WWII. He was a 1952 graduate of the Ohio State School of Dentistry and practiced dentistry for nearly 40 years in the Dayton area. Dr. Schamel was formerly Co-Director of the Miami Valley Hospital Dental Clinic specializing in T.M.J. therapy. He was the past president of the Dayton Dental Society, the United Health Foundation, and the PSI-Omega Dental Fraternity. He was preceded in death by his wife, Barbara in 1998. Bob is survived by his children, Mary Jo (Oren) Bramson of Briarcliff Manor, NY, Sally (Eric) Bauer of Westerville, OH, Robert C. Schamel Jr. of Washington Twp. and Steve (Kelley) Schamel of Redondo Beach, CA; grandchildren: Tyler, Emma and Miranda Bramson, Stephanie and Caroline Bauer and Kaycee Schamel; siblings, Shirley Kramer, Gene Schamel and Don (Peggy) Schamel. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, April 18, 2006 at 10: 30 AM at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church, 4500 Ackerman Blvd., Kettering with a burial in David’s Cemetery. Bob's family will receive friends on Monday evening from 4-8:00 PM at the Routsong Funeral Home, 2100 E. Stroop Rd., Kettering.
