MILLER, Robert E., age 92, of Kettering passed away Sunday, March 16, 2008 at Heartland of Kettering. He was a member of St. John's United Church of Christ. Robert was a graduate of the Ohio State University and was a life member of the Alumni of the first band to perform script Ohio. Robert worked 14 years at NCR, 14 years at Sherwin-Williams company and also worked at the Mound Lab at Monsanto. He was a member of the George L. Marshall Lodge #734, Scottish Rite Valley of Dayton, the VFW post 9927, life time member of the American Legion Post 598 and was a volunteer at the Kettering Recreation Center. Robert was preceded in death by his wife Miriam Miller; parents, Ella and Harry Miller; brother, William Miller and sister Elizabeth Dye. He is survived by 2 sons, Robert A. (Nancy) of VA and Stephen A. (Rae Anne) of CO; 5 grandchildren, Robert (Kimberlee) Miller Jr. and Kris Miller and Tamara, Steve Jr., and Cheryl ;13 great-grandchildren; nieces, Marilyn (Kenny) Foster and Ann Pitner; cousin, Robert (Rita) Miller and friend Helen Zappe. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, March 19, 2008 at 11:00 AM at the Routsong Funeral Home, 2100 E. Stroop Rd., Kettering with Rev. Randall Brakemeyer officiating. Burial in Dayton Memorial Park Cemetery. Family will receive friends from 10:00-11:00AM prior to the service at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the St. John's United Church of Christ Organ Fund, 515 E.
