Robert Franklin Archdeacon

ARCHDEACON, Robert F., age 86, of Dayton, passed away on Friday, September 28, 2012. He was in the US Army Air Corps during WWII and graduated from the University of Dayton in 1951. An accomplished civil engineer, he retired as a senior partner of Woolpert's LLP after 40+ years of service. A Life Member of the American Society of Civil Engineers, Bob served extensively in local, regional and national leadership roles. Bob was born May 17, 1926 to Clifford and Mildred Archdeacon in Waynesville, OH. He was a beloved husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. Bob was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his devoted wife of 66 years, Jean (nee Tudor); sons, Jim, of Dayton, Bill (Carolyn), of Colorado and Dan (Mara), of Vermont; daughter, Becca (Dan) Houser, of Westerville, OH; nine grandchildren, Erin (Jeff) Wiles, Megan (David) Ketover, Jacqueline Archdeacon, Tālis and Nick Archdeacon, Emily, Kayla, Robby and Rachael Houser; two great-grandchildren, Josh and Avery Wiles; and sister Betty Ullery, of Dayton.
