Robert John Loase

LOASE, Robert John age 69 of Grand Junction Colorado passed away on Wednesday, March 9, 2016. Robert was born on November 30, 1946 to the late Raymond and Alice Loase. Robert graduated from Centerville High School in 1964. Robert was in Vietnam, during the war in 1968, serving as a US Navy SEABEE. He was honorably discharged petty officer second class. Robert also served in the Ohio Air National Guard and the Colorado Army Reserves. He received a certification from Spartan School of Aeronautics in Tulsa Oklahoma as a licensed air frame and power plant mechanic. He was a Journeyman Millwright for the Inland Manufacturing Division of General Motors for 14 years. Robert then moved to Colorado where he became a Journeyman electrician worked at Excel Energy for 26 years. Rob was a very caring, loving husband, father, brother and grandfather. Rob had a big heart. He was known for his friendly demeanor and his skill to strike up a conversation with anyone. Rob was an avid reader and especially loved military history. Rob is survived by his loving wife Maria, also known as Marites; his children Matthew (Allyson) Loase, Danielle (Dustin) Scallon; his brothers and sisters, Virginia (Thomas) Cusmano, Raymond (Marylou) Loase, Donald (Mary) Loase, Alice (William) Schaefer; his grandchildren, Taylor, Caitlin, Jaycee; his nieces and nephews, Thomas, Anthony, Donald, Robert, Brad, Rachel, Kathy, Donna, Alex, Stephanie and Micah. We cannot forget, his longtime best friend and true companion, his dog, Brandie. Services will be held at 1:00pm on Friday, March 18, 2016 at Routsong Funeral Home, 81 N. Main St., Centerville, OH. Family will greet friends one hour before the service at the funeral home. Burial will be held at 3:00pm on Monday, March 21, 2016 at Dayton National Cemetery, 4400 W. Third St., Dayton.
