Robert Joseph Sano, Jr

SANO, Robert, Jr. “Bob”, 68, of Dayton, went home to be with his Lord on June 2, 2010. He was a 1960 graduate of Belmont High School, a Harrison Radiator retiree, and a long time member of Living Word Church in Vandalia, OH. Bob had a real zest for life. He loved being with family and friends and will always be remembered for his laughter, caring heart, and the twinkle in his eye. His interests were golf, fishing, music, movies, the Bengals, the Reds, and the UD Fliers. Bob was a very strong man. He went through a lot of struggles during the last few years of his life, but his relationship with the Lord and the love of his family and friends saw him through. He was preceded in death by his father and mother, Robert and Josephine Sano; daughter, Cathy Sano: and grandaughter, Kelly Casey. Bob was the beloved husband of Sondra Sano, for more than 40 years and father of Nancy Casey, Tony (Cindy) Redolfi, and Stacy (Michael) Propst. He will be greatly missed by his brothers, Ron (Sheila) Sano and Rick (Jenny) Sano, and sister, Mary Ann Schirmer, as well as his grandchildren Courtney Castor, Kara Simpson, Andrea, Rachael, Jonathan, and Michael Redolfi, Kinsey, Kaylee, and Aaron Propst, 6 great-grandchildren, and many other special family members. A memorial service will be held at 1:00 PM on Monday, June 7th, at Living Word Church, 926 East National Road, in Vandalia, Pastor Pat Murray officiating. Visitation will be at the church from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice of Dayton, 324 Wilmington Ave, Dayton, OH 45420 or Living Word Church.
