age 80, of Kettering, OH, passed away Saturday, October 4, 2003 at Kettering Medical Center. He was born August 26, 1923, in Westboro, Ohio. Robert retired from Monsanto Research Corp. after 32 years of service. He was a World War II veteran and did active service in the South Pacific. Robert was an avid tennis and golf player and loved to travel, taking many overseas trips. Preceded in death by his parents, Philip and Leona Bobbitt Stewart; 3 brothers, Gordon, Verlin and LeRoy; sister, Doris Stanley; and brothers-in-law, Maynard Stanley and Ben Garrett. Survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Helen; son, Gregory D. Stewart of Milford, OH; daughter, Debra J. and her husband, Bruce Crosby of Cincinnati, OH; 6 grandchildren; 2 sisters, Lois A. Stewart of Wilmington, OH and Betty Garrett of Fresno, CA; and 3 sisters-in-law, Joanne Stewart of Wilmington, OH, Mary Stewart of Redlands, CA and Louise Stewart of Neenah, WI. Funeral services will be at 11:00 AM, Wednesday, at Routsong Funeral Home, 2100 E. Stroop Rd., Kettering. The family will greet friends from 10:00 – 11:00 AM, Wednesday, at the funeral home. Graveside services will be at 1:00 PM (CST), Thursday, at Vevay Cemetery, Vevay, IN. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Dayton, 324 Wilmington Ave., Dayton, OH 45420.
