MEHLICK, Robert “Bob” M., age 71, of Kettering, Ohio, passed away on Monday, January 4, 2021. Born in Milwaukee, WI in 1949, then moved to Kettering in 1960, where he remained a lifetime resident. He worked with the railroad and retired from Amtrak. He also worked as a Dayton area realtor for over 25 years.
Bob was a member of the Knights of Columbus, an avid bowler, Green Bay Packers fan, and frequent walker of Lincoln Park with his beloved dog, Amie, who preceded him in death only 1 week earlier. His most loved passion was his talent of music, which he shared with many friends, family, and local nursing homes throughout his life. Most importantly, Bob, was a spiritual man, who’s gentle, peaceful soul could be felt by all who met him.
Preceded in death by his parents, Patrick and Agnes Mehlick. Survived by his wife, Cindy Hanson; daughters, Krishna Hayden (Michael), Kalindi Lake (James); step-children, Joshua Koehnen (Chelsea), Jennifer Koehnen; and grandchildren, Noah and Jacob Hayden, Kaylie, Ella, and Avery Koehnen. Also survived by sister, Rita Rozelle (James), and brother Joseph Mehlick (Nora), and many nieces, nephews, and extended family.
In light of Covid-19, a small family service will be held Friday, January 8, 2021 at 12:00 EST. Friends and family wishing to view the services may visit Routsong Funeral Home’s Youtube page to view livestreamed services. A celebration of life, to honor Bob’s spirt, will be planned at a later date TBD.
