Robert Parsons Carmichael

CARMICHAEL, Robert Parsons, age 87, of Springboro went to be with his Lord and Savior on Wednesday, February 16, 2011. Robert, born on November 29, 1923 in St. Louis, MO, was a retired aeronautical engineer from Wright Patterson Air Force Base. He also proudly served his country during World War II in the Army Air Corps. Robert was a long time resident of Centerville and an avid member of Westminster Presbyterian Church in Dayton. He was a very loving husband, humble servant, and gentle spirit. Robert was preceded in death by his wife, Florence Grace Carmichael; parents, Warne and Irene (Parsons) Carmichael; brother, John Carmichael; and sister, Helen Wright. He is survived by daughter, Susan Elaine Branson; grandchildren, Jason and Momoko Ruddy, Lisa and Chris Knodel, and Sara Christine Branson; great-grandchildren, Kaiya, Akane, and baby; numerous nieces, nephews, and friends; and his beloved dogs Jezebel and Ahab. The family will greet friends from 6:00-8:00pm on Tuesday, February 22, 2011 at Routsong Funeral Home, 81 N. Main St., Centerville, OH., 45459. Funeral services will be held at 11:00am on Wednesday, February 23, 2011 at the funeral home as well with Rev. Dick Knodel officiating. Burial in David's Cemetery to follow.
