Robert Peter Newcomb

Newcomb, Robert Peter, age 93, of Kettering, passed away on Thursday, September 16, 2010. He received his BA from Indiana University. Robert served in the U.S. Army Air Forces in WWII. He owned and operated a Western Auto Store in Sabina, OH from 1949-1961. Robert retired from the Defense Electronics Supply Center in 1985. He especially enjoyed his years as a volunteer for the US Air Force Museum and the City of Kettering. Robert was a kind and loving man, devoted to his family. Preceded in death by his wife, Julia, Robert is survived by his children Patricia Newcomb, Pamela (Derek) Brereton, Robert G. Newcomb, and Julia (William) McBee. The family will greet family and friends on Friday, October 1, 2010 from 5-8:00PM at Routsong Funeral Home, 2100 E. Stroop Rd. Kettering, OH 45429. The Funeral Service will be held Saturday, October 2, 2010 at 11:00AM at the funeral home with a graveside service to follow at Hillgrove Cemetery, Miamisburg, OH.
