Roland Francis Eichner

EICHNER, Roland Francis, age 80, of Kettering, formerly of Columbus passed away Monday, April 11, 2011. He graduated from Aquinas High School in Columbus and graduated with a Bachelor Degree at Xavier University and a Juris Doctorate from University of Cincinnati Law School. He was a member of St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church. Roland was a Real Estate Attorney at Porter, Wright, Morris and Arthur Law Firm. He was a Grand Knight of Knights of Columbus, and past president of Oakwood Rotary, former president of Bike Club, a member of Paul Harris Fellow, and Past President of Ohio Land Title. Roland was a strong man with high morals and loved to give to numerous causes. Preceded in death by his brother, Herman Eichner and sister, Mary Lee Maher. Roland is survived by his loving wife, Mary Anne Eichner; daughters, Kathleen Eichner, Jennifer (Mike) Jacques, and Maureen Ockenfels; sons, Eric (Amy) Eichner, Kevin (Peg) Eichner, Michael (Cheryl) Eichner, and Mark (Liesa) Eichner; grandchildren, Megan (Sean) King who are expecting their first child, Sean Duffy, Sarah, Kelsey, Katie, David, Ana, Ben, William, Daniel, and Alex; sisters, Colette Butler and Margaret (Pat) Mooney; brother, Tom (Carol) Eichner; brother-in-law, H. David (Cindy) Bright; sister-in-laws, Joan Oelgoetz and Penny (Tom) Merkle; and numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held from 5:00-8:00pm on Thursday, April 14, 2011 at Routsong Funeral Home, 2100 E. Stroop Rd., Kettering. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00am on Friday, April 15, 2011 at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church, 4500 Ackerman Blvd., Kettering, with Fr. Haemmerle officiating.
