age 68 of Scottsdale, Arizona formerly of Dayton, died Wednesday, October 31, 2001. He was veteran of the United States Army and a graduate of Oakwood High School in 1951 and Miami University, Oxford, Ohio in 1955. Roland was a stockbroker with Dean Witter and A. G. Edwards for 34 years. His work was his vocation and his avocation. Roland was a member of the Delta Kappa Epsilon and served as a member of the Board of Trustees of Phoenix Country Day School. Preceded in death by his parents, Horace and Dorothy and a brother, Horace Jr. He was the much loved husband of Jennifer and father of Catherine. Also survived by a brother, Thomas (Mary Lou); 2 nieces, Lisa McCauley (Tim), Porscha Baggott; 2 nephews, David Baggott, Roland W. Baggott III (Nicole); and stepdaughters, Gabriella Peers and Tiffany Griffith. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 A.M., Tuesday, November 6, 2001 at St. Barnabas on the Desert Episcopal Church, 6715 N. Mockingbird Lane, Scottsdale, AZ with The Rev. Jeffrey L. Bullock officiating. The family will receive friends from 6-7:30 P.M., Monday, November 5 at Messinger Mortuary, 7601 E. Indian School Road, Scottsdale, AZ. Internment will be at Woodland Cemetery in the Spring of 2002 with a memorial service to follow at Christ Episcopal Church, Dayton, Ohio. If desired, contributions may be made to Dorchester Abbey Preservation Trust, Dorchester Rectory, Wallingford, Oxfordshire, OX10 7HZ, England.
