Ronald Ray Werts, Sr.

age 68, of Clayton, passed away Saturday, January 22, 2005. He attended Roosevelt High School. Ron served in the U.S. Navy during peacetime and was stationed on the USS Valley Forge, Norfolk, VA. He was a 1st class stationary engineer at Delphi in Vandalia. Ronald was a member of the VFW on Freepike and the American Legion in Vandalia. He was predeceased by his father, Ray D. Werts and his brother-in-law, Donald Moyer. Ronald is survived by his loving wife of 49 years, Betty; son, Ron Werts, Jr., and his wife, Shara; 2 grandsons, Ron R. Werts, III, and his wife, Sandie, and Robert W. Werts; great granddaughter, Katrina Werts; mother, Edith Werts; and 2 sisters, Barbara Moyer and Jane Brown and her husband, Ralph. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM, Wednesday, at Routsong Funeral Home, 2100 E. Stroop Rd., Kettering, with Pastor Samuel D. Hollingsworth officiating. The family will greet friends from 4:00 – 7:00 PM, Tuesday, at the funeral home. Burial in Dayton Memorial Park Cemetery.
