Rosa Mayfield

age 88, of Dayton, passed away Monday, July 18, 2005, after a long and happy life. She was born in Erding, Germany and then moved to the United States with her husband, James. Rosa was a lifetime member of St. Helen’s Church and volunteered at Kettering Medical Center. She was preceded in death by her husband in 1994. Her smile and positive outlook will be missed by those who loved her. She is survived by one son, James (Marjorie) Mayfield, of Cadillac, MI; two daughters, Linda S. (Charles) Rinehart, of Springfield and Carol L. Smart, of Dayton; eight grandchildren, Kimberly Jarnagin, James A. Mayfield Jr., Sonya Thompson, Shannon Mayfield, Chip Rinehart, Christen Rinehart, Christopher Rinehart and Greg Smart; seven great-grandchildren. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 AM, Friday, July 22, 2005, at St. Helen’s Catholic Church, 5100 Burkhardt Rd., Riverside with Father David Brinkmoeller officiating. Burial in Calvary Cemetery. Family will receive friends one hour prior to services at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to American Heart Association, Miami Valley Area, 24 N. Jefferson St. Dayton, OH 45402 or Springfield Catholic Central High School, 1200 E. High St. Springfield, OH 45505.
