Ruth E. Gilliland

Gilliland, Ruth E., age 84, of Miamisburg and formerly of Oakwood, died Tuesday September 28, 2004 at Sycamore Hospital. She was a member of Fairhaven Missionary Alliance Church and a former member of Fairmont Presbyterian Church. Ruth work as a secretary for MetLife before her retirement. She and her family spent many wonderful years with the people of Cowan Lake Sailing Association. Preceded in death by her husband, Robert W. in 2001. Survived by 5 sons; Robert, Jr. of San Diego; Mark of Pia, Maui; Rex of Cleveland, Tim of Troy and Tom of Detroit; 13 grandchildren; 1 great grandchild; and a sister-in-law, Wheeze Gilliland of State College, PA. Memorial services will be held at a later date in October. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Assn., 919 N. Michigan Ave., Suite 1000, Chicago, IL 60611.
