Ruth Elizabeth Diller

age 83, of Dayton, passed away Thursday, April 12, 2001 at Kettering Medical Center. She worked in accounting at Wright Field and DESC. Ruth was a member of Christ United Methodist Church, DESC 25 Year Club, NARFE, ABWA , the Miami Valley Ohio Chapter of the Goebel Collectors Club and a charter member of the M.I. Hummel Club. Preceded in death by her husband, Rodney W. Diller; her sister, Margaret Hoops Wright; and her brothers, Willard and Wayne Hoops. Survived by her daughter, Cynthia Ann Fields (Herbert) of New York NY, who is the retired President and CEO of Victoria's Secret Catalogue. Also survived by her sister, Betty Jane Hughes (Paul) of West Minster SC; her sister-in-law and very special friend, Ruth Hoops; and several nieces and nephews. Memorial services will be held at 2:30 p.m., Saturday in Christ United Methodist Church, 3440 Shroyer Rd., Dayton, with Rev. Kathleen M. Kisner officiating. A reception in the church will follow the services. The family will greet friends from 4:00 - 7:00 p.m., Friday in Routsong Funeral Home, 6 Oakwood Ave. at Irving, Dayton. Burial will be in Woodland Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Christ United Methodist Church or the charity of your choice.
