LUCAS, Ruth Elizabeth, age 76, of Centerville, died Monday, Oct. 9, 2000. She was a graduate of Greenville. Ruth was one of the Founders of Fairhaven Church, edited and developed five cookbooks for the church, where she remained an active member until her death, and a member of the Christian Women's Club. Survived by husband, John; son, Mark Edward Lucas and wife Kathleen of Dayton; daughter, Gayle Lucas of Minneapolis, MN; six grandchildren, John Allen, Ryan Patrick, and Stacey Lynne Lucas, Nathan Allen, Meghan Elizabeth and Andrew Thomas James; 2 brothers, Robert and Jane McGlinch of Greenville, Paul and May K. McGlinch of Noblesville, IN; sister Martha and Galen Dickey of Englewood. Funeral services will be held at 10 A.M., Friday, in Fairhaven Church, 637 E. Whipp Rd., Centerville with Pastors Pete Schwalm and Ron Julian, Jr. officiating. Burial will be in David's cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5-8 P.M., Thursday in the Routsong Funeral Home, 2100 E. Stroop Rd., Kettering. In honoring the memory of Ruth, friends may contribute gifts to Fairhaven Church, flowers, or a charity of personal choice.
