Ruth Ramona Lentz

LENTZ, Ruth Ramona Rolwing, age 84, died Wednesday, May 10, 2017 in Beavercreek Ohio. She was born on August 14, 1932 in St. Louis Missouri and grew up in Cairo, IL where she was a graduate of St. Joseph High School. Ruth graduated with a nursing degree from Baptist College in Memphis Tennessee. She married her high school sweetheart on June 4, 1955, in San Clemente California, where Don served as a 1st Lieutenant in The Marine Corps. Devoted wife and selfless mother, she followed her true passion which was raising six children and enjoying her grandchildren. She was devoted to her Catholic faith and found comfort with her rosary. Ruth loved having a kitty in her lap and feeding the birds. She is survived by her husband of 62 years, Donald Elkins Lentz and survived by six children: Loretta (William) Fishking, Lawrence (Susan) Lentz, Linda (Kelly) Akers, Lisa Lentz (Neal Covington), Laura (John) Bates, Leeann (Chip) Holloway; brothers Richard (Patricia) Rolwing and Dr. Raymond (Nancy) Rolwing along with many nieces and nephews. She was loved by twelve grandchildren. She is predeceased by her parents; Edward M. and Rose (Marbaugh) Rolwing and brothers Russell and Robert Rolwing. A visitation will be held on Sunday May 14, 2017 from 3-5pm at Routsong Funeral Home Kettering, 2100 East Stroop Road. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, May 15, 2017 at 10 a.m. at Mary Help of Christians, 954 North Maple Avenue, Fairborn Ohio. Burial at Dayton National Cemetery.
