Ryan Matthew Gilliam

July 19, 1978 — December 14, 2010

GILLIAM, Ryan Matthew, born July 19, 1978, passed away suddenly at his home on December 14, 2010 leaving behind his wife of 5 years, Jennifer A. Gilliam; children Matthew James, age 7, Kaitlyn Nicole, age 4, and Alexander Taylor, age 2. Ryan was preceeded in death by his loving grandfather, Fred F. Hodge. He also leaves behind his devoted maternal grandmother, Nellie Hodge; mother, Terry L. Gilliam; father Jimmy G. Gilliam; brother Douglas G. Gilliam and his wife Selene; brother Aaron G. Gilliam; mother-in-law Ann Anshutz, father-in-law Chris Anshutz, father-in-law Jim Wages; sister-in-laws Sara Wright and Jessy Wright, Uncle Bill Hodge, Aunt Rita Hodge, and cousin Jennifer L. Hodge. Ryan also leaves behind a myriad of loving relatives and friends who loved him like a brother and son. Ryan loved to bowl, golf, fish and was an avid Green Bay Packers fan. But most of all, he loved his wife and children and was a devoted father and husband, brother and son. Ryan knew no strangers. He had a heart of gold and his love for others is the legacy he leaves behind and will forever be the memory etched in our hearts of his precious soul. His boundless love extended to helping anyone in need; his heart would ache to do the best he could to help them anyway he was able to until he was satisfied that he had done everything humanly possible. He loved his family and friends--the love he had for us knew no boundaries. His love was endless and overflowed from his heart each and every day. He will be forever missed and leaves a hole in our hearts, but with God's help to reassure us he is with Him will help us to mend until we are with him again.
