Sandra Sue McElfresh

Sandra Sue McElfresh of Dayton, Ohio, departed this earthly realm on January 23, 2025, leaving behind a legacy of warmth, kindness, and unwavering faith. Born on January 15, 1950, Sandra filled her years with laughter, love, and an enduring commitment to the people and principles she held dear.

A proud graduate of Belmont High School, Sandra’s career flourished at NCR, where her tenacity and dedication shone brightly. Her professional achievements were matched only by her heartfelt involvement in her community, particularly within the congregation of Mighty Fortress Lutheran Church. It is here that she formed bonds of friendship that enriched her life and those around her, finding joy in the camaraderie with her cherished friends from the church.

Sandra's affinity for animals was well-known; she held a special fondness for both dogs and cats.

She leaves behind her beloved sister, Barbara (Steve) Kovacs, and brother-in-law, Mike Miller, and nieces and nephews who will forever carry the fondest memories of her bright smile and kind heart. Preceding her in death are her parents, Walter and Anne McElfresh, and her sisters, Eileen Miller and Linda Back. 

A Memorial Service will be held during worship on Sunday, February 2, 2025 at the Mighty Fortress Lutheran Church at 2841 East Dorothy Lane, Kettering, OH 45420. In honoring her memory, a special thank you is extended to the congregation of Mighty Fortress Lutheran Church, whose support and love have been an enduring source of strength for Sandra and her family throughout her journey. Her vibrant spirit, unwavering faith, and love for those around her will continue to echo in the hearts of all who had the privilege of knowing her.
