Shelby H. Crowe Phd.

Crowe, Shelby H., Phd. 72, of Dayton, passed away Saturday August 18, 2007. He was born July 5, 1935 in Winchester, Ky. He was the son of Claude and Lena Crowe. Dr. Crowe was a professor at Wright State University with 37 years of service. He was a graduate of Eastern Kentucky University with a Bachelor of Arts in Education; a graduate of Miami University with a Masters of Education, and received a Doctorate of Philosophy from The Ohio State University. Dr. Crowe was honored with multiple Teacher Excellence awards while at Wright State University. He felt privileged to have served in the teaching profession. Survivors include his loving wife of 30 years Bonnie; son Craig and daughter-in-law Jan Crowe of Worthington; daughter Cara and son-in-law Matt Hieb of Kettering; step sons Tyler and daughter-in-law Vanessa Langley of Cincinnati, Matthew Langley of Cleveland; step daughter Trishia and son-in-law Tony Monaco of Charlotte, North Carolina; 13 beautiful and precious grandchildren; mother-in-law Mary Wohlslagel and friend Bill Overman; brothers Marvie, L.C. and Jack; sisters Linda, Odean and Mary; and many loving nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers Tommy and Woodrow; sisters Alta, Ora and Emma. Friends may call from 3-5 pm Wednesday August 22, at Routsong Funeral Home 2100 E. Stroop Rd. Kettering, Ohio. Following visitation a life remembrance service will be held at 5:00 pm.
