SYMONDS, Shelley Markham, age 73, of Beavercreek, passed away on Friday, June 04, 2010 after a courageous battle with congestive heart failure. Shelley was a graduate of Ontario High School and Keuka College in New York. She retired after 20 years from Columbia Gas where she was the Human Resource Director. Shelley was a hard working, resourceful woman who loved her family, watching sports, knitting, traveling and attending the annual Mennonite Relief Sale of Ohio. She is preceded in death by her parents Mildred and Lewis Markham; and grandchildren Nicole and Joshua. Shelley is survived by her son Michael (Kimberly) Symonds of Wooster, OH.; daughters Wendy (Jeff) Mauch of Oakwood, OH and Leshel (Tim) Klimczyk of Raleigh, NC; grandchildren Katie, Abbey, Sophie, Andrew, Eliza, Lauren and Alexandra; sisters Cherie Markham and Joan (Matt) Maestas; and brother Phil (Judy) Markham. Interment will be Friday, August 6 at 11:30 am at Crown Hill Cemetery, Twinsburg, Ohio and a memorial service to celebrate our Mom's life will be August 7, 2010 at 11:00 am at Sugar Creek Presbyterian Church, 4417 Bigger Rd, Kettering, OH 45440. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in memory of Shelley to the Families of Spinal Muscular Atrophy or to Trinity Community of Beavercreek.
