Shirley Ann Bahr

BAHR, Shirley Ann, age 92, of Dayton, passed away on January 4, 2017. Shirley was born on May 26, 1924 in Madison, Wisconsin, to the late Everett and Edna (Schrear) Verner. Shirley married Dr. Richard F. Bahr, raised three children and taught elementary school. She is preceded in death by her husband, Richard, and grandson, Christopher. Shirley enjoyed the Dayton Women's Club, the Dayton Antique Study Club, gourmet cooking and was an avid reader. She enjoyed her beautiful summer home in northern Michigan and loved her winter residence in Naples, Florida. She volunteered for many local organizations. Shirley is survived by her children: David Alan (Kassandra) Bahr, Suzanne Bahr (Charlie) Pugh, James Frederick (Diana) Bahr, along with her grandchildren: Sarah, Andrew, Brodie and Brandon. The family wishes to thank the staff at both Lincoln Park Manor and Hospice of Dayton for the love and care that was given to Shirley. Private family services.
