Shirley Christian

CHRISTIAN, Shirley Verne, age 91, of Springboro, passed away Sunday, August 27, 2017 at home with her family at her side. Shirley was born on June 12, 1926 in Alexandria, VA to Herman and Hazel Packett. She was a member of Southbrook Christian Church and volunteered at Wright-Patterson Medical Center. Shirley was preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her loving spouse of 60 years, James E. Christian; daughters, Dawn (Pete) Rensema and Tracy (Tom) Zerba; step-son, Dana (Susan) Christian; grandchildren, Grace, Peter and Jamie; and step-grandchildren, Stasha, Lauren, and Fletcher. A private graveside service will be held at Dayton National Cemetery. The family would like to thank Hospice of the Miami Valley and Golden Heart Senior Care for their compassion they showed toward Shirley.
