Shirley Coen

COEN, Shirley Russell, age 91, of Kettering, passed away Friday, August 24, 2018. She was a graduate of Fairview High School in 1945. Shirley was a member of The Lutheran Church of Our Savior. She was a very involved volunteer in her community and a member of countless organizations. Additionally, she enjoyed traveling all over the world and spending time with her loving family. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, William Bill Coen. She is survived by her sister Patricia Anthony; her three children, Cay Deckard, Sue (Terry) Harbaugh, and Rusty Coen; three grandchildren, Matt, Anna and Andrew. Family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00pm on Tuesday, August 28, 2018 at Routsong Funeral Home, 2100 East Stroop Rd, Kettering. A funeral service will be held at 11:00am on Wednesday, August 29, 2018 at The Lutheran Church of Our Savior, 155 E. Thruston Blvd., Oakwood, OH 45419. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to, The Lutheran Church of Our Savior or The Dayton Foundation, 40 N. Main Street, Suite 500, Dayton, OH 45423, for the Coen Family Foundation, an endowment fund that will benefit Shirleys beloved charities.
