Sonya North Marr

MARR, Sonya North, age 77, of Cleveland, TN, went home to the Lord on Saturday, July 13, 2024. Sonya was born on August 14, 1946, in Cleveland, TN, to the late Herman and Mary Hayes. She attended Bradley County High School before continuing her education at Lee University in Cleveland. She served as a local real estate professional for many years. Sonya was a lifelong resident of Cleveland until recently moving to Dayton, OH to be closer to her son and family. She was a member of Charleston First Baptist church for many years. She had a deep love for life and her fun loving and caring personality will be missed by all who knew and loved her.

She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, David Marr; and brother, Ray Hayes.

Sonya is survived by her son, Micah (Nadia) North; grandchildren, Sophie and Jackson North; her beloved cat, Willie; and numerous extended family and friends.

 A graveside service will be held at 3:00pm on Tuesday, July 16, 2024 at Council Cemetery, adjacent to the Council Baptist Church, 1415 Upper River Rd. Charleston, TN 37310. If desired flowers may be ordered via Isbill Florist at https://www.isbillfloral.com/.
