Stacil M. Wickens

WICKENS, Stacil M., age 89 of Kettering, OH formerly of Lowell, OH went to be with the Lord on December 5, 2005 at Hospice of Dayton. He was born on July 23, 1916 in Lowell, OH to Wallace and EthelWickens. He lived in Kettering for 55 years. As a deeply religious person, he was a member of Christian Missionary Alliance and former member of Centerville Grace Brethren Church and Hillside Chapel. Stacil was past president of the Dayton Engineers Club, and president of the building committee at Central Christian Church. He received an Electrical Engineering degree from Ohio University and retired after 30 years of service as the Coordinator for Dayton Power & Light Company. He is survived by his loving wife, Geraldine (Martin) Wickens of 8 years; son, Wayne (Pamela) Wickens of Bonita Springs, FL; daughter, Linda Kay (Karl) Streed of Beavercreek; grandchildren, Scott (Caryn) Wickens of Troy, MI, Todd Wickens of Chicago, IL, Kristin Streed of Beavercreek, and Erik Streed of Beavercreek; great-granddaughters, Parker Grace Wickens and Ainsley Claire of Troy, MI Wickens and sister Francis Coffman of Lowell, OH. Stacil was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 50 years, Lorene (Landon) Wickens. Funeral services will be held Friday, December 9, 2005 at 11:00 AM at the Routsong Funeral Home, 81 N. Main St., Centerville with Rev. Steve Makofka officiating. Burial at Miami Valley Memory Gardens. Family will receive friends Thursday from 6-8:00PM at the funeral home.
