KUFLEWSKI, Stephen Thaddeus, born on July 17, 1925, died on June 14, 2014.
Stephen was born in Chicago, IL to Caesar Stephen Kuflewski and Hazel Catherine (Dalton). He was a graduate of Taft High School (Chicago) and Loyola University. He served in the U.S. Army Air Corp as a bombardier in WWII. He retired as a stock broker from Merrill Lynch in 1992. Stephen was a hard-luck fan of the Chicago Cubs and he followed the Chicago Bears.
An avid golfer, his best accomplishment on the course was shooting a double eagle on #11 at Dayton Country Club. He was a member of St. Albert the Great Catholic Church and served as president of the church council. He was a member of Dayton Country Club, Dayton Bike Club and Dayton Rose Society.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother Robert, his daughter Mary Margaret, and his wife of 52 years Jacqueline (Jackie) in 2002. He is survived by his five children: Kathie Neff, Karen Walters (Mike), Steve Kuflewski (Kathy), Bill Kuflewski and Bob Kuflewski (Shelley); seven grandchildren: Kelli Uhl (Steve), Brian Neff (Becky), Jonathan Neff, Connor Walters, Emily Armstrong (Josh), Ashley Kuflewski, and Benjamin Kuflewski; and five great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 19, 2014 at St. Albert the Great Catholic Church, 3033 Far Hills Avenue, Kettering, OH 45429 at 11:00 am. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 12 noon. In lieu of flowers please make donations to St. Albert the Great Catholic Church in his memory.
