Steve C. Stamas

STAMAS, Steve C. age, 81, of Centerville, OH, passed away peacefully with family on February 10, 2025. Steve was born on August 17, 1943, in Dayton OH, to the late Charles and Cleopatra Stamas. He graduated from Colonel White High School before continuing his education at the University of Dayton. Steve had an impressive 64-year career at Mosier Fluid Power, where he mentored, developed talent, and built enduring relationships. He started in the shop and advanced into sales, achieving remarkable success and receiving numerous accolades along the way. In 1993, Steve took the leap to purchase Mosier Fluid Power, demonstrating the power of leadership. He loved his work and all the people who were a part of his Mosier family. 

Steve was a person who embraced an active lifestyle, finding joy in both golf and travel, specifically Charleston, South Carolina. Whether exploring new destinations or perfecting his swing on the course, he was always on the move. However, his greatest passion was boating at Lake Cumberland, where he felt most at peace. Beyond his love for adventure, Steve had a natural talent in the kitchen, where he loved to create delicious meals. Spending time with friends and family brought him immense joy, as he enjoyed bringing people together around the table and sharing his love through food.

Steve is preceded in death by his parents; Chuck and Cleo Stamas; sister, Mary Weimer; brothers-in-law, Alex Fote & Gary Jacob; and sister-in-law, Vicki Traub.

He is survived by his loving wife of 31 years, Debbie Stamas; his children Lisa (Chris) Young; Tricia (Todd) Lambert and their children Aaron & Audrey; Chuck (Julie) Stamas and their children Ethan, Adler & Morgan; Heather (Joe) Beck and their children Mitch, Maddy & Chase; Hollie Buckley; Terry (Heather) Theyssen and their children Trey and Bella.

He is also survived by his siblings Tina Fote, Nick Stamas and many beloved relatives and friends.

A visitation will be held from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM on Monday, February 17, 2025, at Routsong Funeral Home, 2100 E. Stroop Rd. Kettering, OH 45429. A funeral service will be held the following day, Tuesday, February 18, 2025, at Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church, 500 Belmonte Park N, Dayton, OH 45405 at 11:00AM. A livestream of the service will be available via Annunciation’s YouTube channel. Burial at Woodland Cemetery, Dayton. In lieu of flowers, we kindly ask you to consider donating blood. Throughout his journey blood transfusions were life-sustaining for Steve, giving him strength and time with those he loved. Thank you for honoring Steve’s memory in such a meaningful way. Monetary donations can be made to Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church or the Dayton Blood Bank (349 S. Main St. Dayton, OH) in his honor.
