Steven James Klein

KLEIN, Steven James, age 31, of Kettering, went to be with the Lord after a lengthy battle with cancer on January 25, 2004. Steven was a member of Parkview Church of the Nazarene. He was a 1991 graduate of Fairmont High School, received his bachelor degree from the University of Findlay in 1995, and had attended the College of Veterinary Medicine at Ohio State University. Steven loved woodworking, working on automobiles and had a special love for animals. He is preceded in death by his grandfather, Carlyle W. Everett and his uncle, William T. Everett. Steven is survived by his parents, James E. and Beverly J. Klein of Kettering; brother, David E. Klein of Columbus; wife, Tamara L. (Schafer) Klein of Vermilion, OH; Maternal grandmother, Donna I. Everett of MI; Paternal grandparents, George W. and Florence E. Klein, of MI; aunts and uncles, Marilyn and James Cattran of Fairfield, OH, George and Pamela Klein of CT, and Janet and Terry Kirkpatrick of MI; cousins, Jeffrey Cattran, Aric (Jenni) Cattran, Jonathan Klein, Peter (Sarah) Klein, Angela Kirkpatrick and Nathan Kirkpatrick; special friends, Larry and Nancy Hess; and hospice nurse and friend, Debbie Jackson. The family wishes to thank the staff at Hospice of Dayton for all their support and kindness. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Friday, January 30, at Parkview Church of the Nazarene, 4701 Far Hills Ave., Kettering, with Rev. David Ringheiser officiating; burial in David’s Cemetery. Family will receive friends Thursday evening from 5-8:00 PM at the Routsong Funeral Home, 2100 E. Stroop Rd., Kettering and again on Friday from 10:00 AM until time of service at the church.
