Steven L. Summers

May 19, 1949 — October 21, 2009

SUMMERS, Steven, age 60 of Bellbrook, beloved husband, father and friend, died suddenly on Wednesday, October 21, 2009. Steve loved his family and friends above everything in his life. He was cantankerous in a humorous way and lived his life to the fullest. Steve loved to cook, eat, garden, golf, collect cars and entertain friends and family. He loved playing with his beloved dogs, Spanky and Nacho and cats, Critter and Slobber. Steve was very generous and never met a stranger. He was bull headed, kind hearted and obnoxious with a wonderful sense of humor. Steve was a graduate of Centerville High School and University of Cincinnati where he earned his degree in Business Management in 1972. After graduating, Steve served in the National Guard. He managed the Summers Tire Sales in Miamisburg for 9 years and in 1981 he purchased the Summers Tire Sales in Centerville where he successfully helped everyone for 29 years. Many of his customers thought of him as their car's doctor and he thought of his customers as family. Steve and his wife Terry were high school sweethearts and attended the University together. They were married for 38 happy years. Preceded in death by his son, Joel M. Summers; father, Jack L. Summers; sister-in-law, Priscilla Swab; nephew, Stuart Smith; grand niece, Jessica Cook and mother and father-in-law, Victor and Mary Jane Smith.
