age 61, of Dayton, died Saturday, March 10, 2001. She was born in Lancaster, PA and was a graduate of Talawanda High School, in Oxford, OH and Miami University in Oxford, OH where she received her degree in education. After several years of teaching, Susan became a full-time community volunteer. She was the President of the Junior League of Evanston, IL; Director of Willow Wood Preschool in Winnetka, IL; and, until the time of death, was the President of the Dayton Philharmonic Volunteer Association. She also served in various leadership positions in the Wilmette, Illinois and the Centerville City Schools. Preceded in death by her husband Hugh M. Seyfarth, Jr. in 1989. Survived by 2 daughters, Kristan Kelly and her husband, Brendan of Wilmette, IL and Kathryn Seyfarth of Columbus; a son, Hugh M. Seyfarth, III of Oxford; 2 grandsons, Brendan Kelly and Hugh Kelly; 2 sisters, Caroline S. Wallick of DeBary, FL and C. Michelle Hughes of Oxford, OH; and a brother, G. David Serviss of Acworth, GA. A memorial service will be held at 10:00 A.M., Friday, March 16, 2001 at The Lutheran Church of our Savior, 155 E. Thruston Blvd., Oakwood. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Dayton Philharmonic Volunteer Association, Susan Seyfarth Scholarship Remembrance Fund, c/o Fifth Third Bank, Attention: Private Banking, 110 N. Main St., Dayton, Ohio 45402.
