Ted H. Goss

age 77, a life long resident of Dayton and Washington Twp., passed away Sunday, July 8, 2001 at Walnut Creek Nursing Home. He was a graduate of Roosevelt High School and the University of Dayton. With his love of airplanes, he quickly secured a position with the United States Air Force at Wright Patterson Air Force Base as an Acquisition Manager. Ted was Deputy Program Director of many System Program Offices. For 18 years, he was also Project Officer for Tactical Fighter development programs with the Royal Swedish Air Force. Retiring in January 1983 after 39 years of service, he joined Rockwell International Corp. in Dayton. In 1989, he was employed by Belcon Technical Services, representing The Rockwell International Science Center of Thousand Oaks, CA. Mr. Goss was a Certified Commercial Pilot and past president of the Mound Flying Club. He was a former member of The Masonic Lodge and The Scottish Rite. Ted is also a member of the First Baptist Church of Dayton. He was fondly known by friends and neighbors as ''Mr. Fix-it''. Preceded in death by his mother, Mary Haynes Goss and aunt, Helen Haynes. Survived by his wife of 51 years, Madonna Wine Goss; a son, Craig Goss; a daughter, Sherri Kertesz; and 2 grandsons, Larry and Steve Kertesz. A memorial service will be held on Thursday, July 12, at 2:30 P.M. in the Routsong Funeral Home, 2100 E. Stroop Rd., Kettering with Rev. David P. Turner and Rev. Dr. Richard Bausman officiating. The family will receive friends from 1:00 P.M. until time of service. Private burial in David's Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to The American Heart and Stroke Association, Miami Valley Area, 124 N. Jefferson St., Dayton, Ohio 45402.
