BRECHER, Terez, age 74, of Kettering, passed away Thursday, October 21, 2004 at Miami Valley Hospital. Terez was born and was educated in Hungary. She was a member of St. Albert the Great Catholic Church, and was the artist who painstakingly restored all the stations of the cross in the church. She was also a member of the Hungarian Club and the Dayton Art Institute. She was an avid artist and antique collector. Terez came to America with her husband in 1948 as a refugee sponsored by Catholic Social Services. She is preceded in death by her two husbands, Walter Birk in 1969, who was the former chief building and zoning inspector for the city of Kettering and Dr. Frank Brecher who was the former Director of Pathology at Grandview and Southview Hospitals. Terez is survived by her 2 daughters, Carolyn Birk of CA and Angela Birk of FL; 1 sister, Sidonia Brad of Dayton; 1 brother, Anton Bruckner of Dayton; and 1 grandson, Jonathan Birk of CA. Mass of Christian Burial will be held Wednesday, 12:00 noon at St. Albert the Great Church. Family will receive friends Tuesday evening from 5-8:00 PM at the Routsong Funeral Home, 81 N. Main St., Centerville and from 10:30 to 12:00 noon on Wednesday at the church. Condolences and or flowers may be sent to the family via the Routsong Funeral Home website at www.routsong.com.
