Terry L. Smith

Terry Lernail Smith affectionately known as “T-Bone”, age 68 of Dayton, OH, passed away peacefully in Columbus, OH on June 22, 2022, surrounded by family.

He was a graduate of Colonel White High School. Terry was a devoted and loving father and grandfather who served his daughters breakfast in bed and had countless dance parties and sleepovers with his grandchildren. He enjoyed playing competitive card games, dominoes, bingo, and bowling with family and close friends. Terry faithfully served his community as a frequent volunteer with the Montgomery County Board of Elections for many years.

Preceded in death by his Mother, Alberta Neal; stepfather, Robert Neal; and Father, James Smith. He is survived by 3 daughters, Cheyanne (Chris) Schetlin, Courtney Smith, and Felicia Smith; 4 grandchildren, Chey’Renaee, Chrislynn, Christopher Jr. and expecting baby, Schetlin; sister, Lennie Wright; 2 brothers, Joe (Betsy) Smith, Charles (Velma) Smith; special friends, Niecy Wilkinson-Blount, James Abney, the Gordon and Golson families, and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.

Terry was a friend to many and a stranger to few. His memory will be cherished.

The family will receive friends for visitation 10AM-12PM with Funeral Services at 12PM on Thursday, June 30, 2022 at ROUTSONG FUNERAL HOME, 2100 E STROOP RD, KETTERING.
