KIGER, Terry Lee, age 70, of Kettering, passed away at Kindred Hospital on Saturday, April 16th, 2016 after complications from a brain injury.
He worked for over 50 years as a tool designer, most recently at Production Tube Cutting Inc. of Dayton.
Terry was an accomplished woodworker who created special gifts for those close to him, particularly for his only grandchild, Helen, who loved trading homemade gifts with her Baba. Throughout his life he enjoyed racing with his brothers, fiddling around with various musical instruments, and family vacations to Disney World and Gatlinburg.
Terry was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Kathy (Havlish), of 41 years, less one day. He is survived by his two daughters, Mary Ann Kiger and Deborah Lynn Hicks; son-in-law, Chris; granddaughter, Helen; brothers, Vernon "Skeeter" and Dion; sister-in-law, Bonnie; numerous nieces, nephews, grand-nieces and nephews; and a large extended family who were very special to him.
The family would like to express their sincere thanks to Paula, Mike, and KJ Smith as well as the Doctors, Nurses, and staff of Kettering and Kindred Hospitals for their dedicated care.
A visitation will be held from 5:00-8:00pm on Wednesday, April 20, 2016 at Routsong Funeral Home, 81 N. Main St., Centerville. A funeral service will be held at 11:00am Thursday, April 21, 2016 also at the funeral home. Burial will take place at Valley View Cemetery in Xenia.
