LEAKAS, Theodore James 'Ted', age 84, of Centerville, died Saturday, August 12, 2006. He retired as Sales Manager of WDAO after 30 years with the WAVI Broadcasting Company. He was a member of Alpha Sigma Phi Fraternity at the University of Pennsylvania where he attended the Wharton School of Finance. Ted was an Army Air Corps veteran of WWII. He was the first president of KEDAP, an organization to prevent drug abuse in children, that was organized by Kettering PTA Past Presidents. Ted was an active member of The Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church of which he was a member and Past President. He was President of the Parish Council for 12 years and a Past President of AHEPA. Survived by his wife of 57 years, Mary; a son, James and wife Diana of Kettering; daughter, Rebecca and her husband, Clyde Heddings of Centerville; 4 grandchildren, Andrew and Stephen Ziehler and Theo and Krista Leakas. Services will be held at 10: 00 AM Wednesday, August 16, 2006 at the Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church, 500 Belmonte Park N., with Father Mark Emroll officiating, Burial Woodland Cemetery. Friends may call at the Routsong Funeral Home, 2100 E. Stroop Rd., from 4 to 8:00 PM on Tuesday with Trisagion Prayers at 7:00 PM. If desired, friends may make memorial contributions to the Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church Scholarship Fund, 500 Belmonte Park N, Dayton, 45405.
