Thomas A. White

WHITE, Thomas A., passed away on Monday, March 21 2016 in Santa Barbara at the age of 89. Tom was born in Ohio where he met his future wife, Gloria. They married in 1946 and had two children. He was preceded in death by his son, Mike (1968 in Vietnam); wife, Gloria (1996) and sister, Dorothy (2012). Tom is survived by his daughter, Sue (Tom) Wesolowski; grandsons, Keith and Todd; brother, David (Sally) White and other family members. He will be missed greatly by many loving family members and friends. Tom worked for General Motors for over 40years. He and Gloria were transferred by the company from Ohio to Wisconsin and then to Santa Barbara in 1972 with Delco Electronics. His main focus was the space program. Early in retirement, Tom joined a Senior Softball team in Santa Barbara and he enjoyed it immensely. He liked the competition, but more important to him were the friendships he made with the players. Special thanks to his doctors, John Vallee, Richard Belkin and Jason Boyatt and to Terri Ketterer for all their help. Family will greet friends from 10:00am-11:00am on Wednesday, March 30, 2016 at Routsong Funeral Home, 81 N. Main Street Centerville, OH with a funeral service to follow at the funeral home. Burial at Miami Valley Memory Gardens.
