83, of Dayton, passed away Thursday, February 14, 2002 at Wood Glen Health Center following a prolonged illness. He was born in Cleveland, OH, in 1918, served as an Army officer during World War II and was employed by Ohio Bell Telephone Co. for 41 years. Thomas was a member of Telephone Pioneers of America. He was preceded in death by his parents and 4 siblings. He is survived by his wife, Nancy E. (Zelinski) Weitendorf; son, Karl T. Weitendorf; daughter, Sue E. Twining; 3 grandchildren, Cathryn E. Stanley, James J. Twining and Karl T. Twining; and great granddaughter, Clara Ellen Stanley. Memorial service to be held at 2:30 PM, Saturday, March 9, 2002, at David's United Church of Christ, 170 W. David Rd., Kettering, with the Rev. William Youngkin and Rev. Rebecca Erb-Strang officiating. The family will greet friends in the David's Church Fellowship Hall following the service.
