GLASER, Thomas J., age 79, of Dayton, passed to a higher plane on July 4th, 2011.
An ardent Genealogist, Tom belonged to both Mercer County and Montgomery County Genealogical Societies. Tom had a 25 year career with Dohrn Transfer Co. and Hall's Motor Transit until they closed down. Tom was a proud Air Force veteran, having served with the 5th Air Force in Korea and earning the Korean Service Medal, The Good Conduct Medal and the United Nations Service Medal.
Tom was a graduate of Chaminade High School, earned a Bachelor's Degree from the Univ. of Dayton, and a Master's Degree from Wright State Univ. and was working on a Doctorate at the time of his passing.
He was preceded in death by his parents Walter J. Glaser and M. Antoinette (Rathweg) Sizemore; step-father, William Sizemore; step-brothers, John, Lewis and James Sizemore; sister, Sr. Mary Lea Glaser, C.P.P.S, and step-sister Judy Sizemore. Tom is survived by his sister Barbara Bachey; a niece; Becky Bachey Smith; and a nephew, Thomas Bachey; two favorite cousins, Shirley Durbin and Dick Rathweg; and a long-time devoted friend, Dr. Mary Melton.
