Thomas Melvyn Pruitt

July 26, 1946 — August 18, 2009

PRUITT, Thomas M., age 63 of Centerville, passed away on Tuesday, August 18, 2009 at Hospice of Dayton after a brave battle against cancer. Tom served in Vietnam for the U.S. Air Force. He received his Associate's degree from Southern State Community College. Tom worked for UPS, Airborne and CEVA Logistics. He was a member of St Mary's Episcopal Church of Hillsboro where he served as Senior Warden in the early 1990's, a past member of the Jaycees and received the honor of Kentucky Colonel. Preceeded in death by his parents, William and Thelma Pruitt. Tom is survived by his son William (Johanna) Pruitt of Centerville and their children Michael and Garren; son Timothy (Amanda) Pruitt of Dayton; daughter Laura Pruitt of Kettering and her fianc David Brewer; former spouse and friend, Elizabeth Pruitt of Kettering and his sister, Sandra Nichols of IN. The family will be having a private service. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Dayton, 324 Wilmington Ave., Dayton, OH 45401.
