Thomas Negrelli

NEGRELLI, Thomas, 76, of Miamisburg, passed away Saturday, May 10, 2008 at Hospice of Dayton. Tom was a 1949 graduate of Collinwood High School in Cleveland, OH and a 1962 graduate from The University of Michigan receiving a B.S. in Engineering Physics. He was Veteran of the US Navy, proudly serving on the U.S.S. Newport News for 4 years during the Korean War. Tom worked at Wright Patterson Air Force Base as Program Manager until his retirement in 1997. Prior to that, he worked for the NCR Corp. in Dayton, OH and Systems Research Labs, also in Dayton. Some of his career achievements include: Deputy Program Manager for Combat Talon II, Managed Development and Production of F-16 Software Depots for the USAF and Israel Air Force, 2 patents in Holography from NCR and he published a technical paper on Laser Technology in Review of Scientific Instruments. Upon his retirement, he received the Outstanding Civilian Career Service Award. He was a member of the University of Michigan Alumni Association, American Legion-Kettering Post, U.S. Navy Cruisers Sailors Association and the Collinwood High School Alumni Association. Tom was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Marguerite Negrelli and grandson, Kevin Kamphaus. He is survived by his wife of almost 50 years, Audrey Negrelli, his children, Robert T. Negrelli of West Carrollton, OH and Lorraine Kamphaus; grandchildren, Matthew and Todd Kamphaus all of Cincinnati, OH; brothers, Joseph (Kay) and William (Ginny) Negrelli, all of Cleveland and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. A memorial service will be held on Thursday, May 15, 2008 at 11: 00AM at St. George's Episcopal Church, 5520 Far Hills Ave., Kettering, OH 45429 with Rev. Carol Hull officiating. Interment will be at The St. Francis Memorial Garden at St. George's Church.
