RISSER, Thomas W. age 83, of Kettering, OH passed away Thursday, June 21, 2007 at Heartland of Kettering. He graduated from Kiser High School in 1941. Thomas served in the Army Air Corps from 1943-1945 as a B-25 bomber pilot in WWII. He graduated from Wittenberg University with a BA in 1949. Thomas started his teaching career at Gettysburg High School in 1949 and retired from the Dayton public schools in 1983 after 31 years. Thomas was a member of the Phi Kappa Psi fraternity, the Dayton Public School Coaches Association, VFW #9927, the American Legion #598 and Wright Patterson Air Force Base Officers’ Club. He was preceded in death by his parents H. Corwin and Margaret Risser, aunt and uncle Rose and Roy Steele, and daughter-in-law Cheryl Risser. Thomas is survived by his loving wife of 63 years Eileen Hull Risser; two sons: Daniel Thomas (Linda) Risser of Derry, NH and his children, Tara (Steve) Ulm and Douglas Risser, and Robin Frank Risser of Ann Arbor, MI and his son Logan; cousins Karl Pauzer and Jay Sipple, and nephews Fred and Bill Engelhardt and Tom Hagerty. Family will receive friends Tuesday from 6 to 8:00 PM at the Routsong Funeral Home, 2100 E. Stroop Rd, Kettering. Funeral services will be held at the funeral home, Wednesday, June 27, 2007 at 10:00 AM with Rev. Darlene Hensley officiating. Burial in Dayton Memorial Park, 8135 N Dixie Dr, Dayton, OH.
