Victor Carter

CARTER, Victor, age 84, of Kettering, passed away Tuesday, January 24, 2006. He was a member of Church of the Cross, Good Sam Camping Club and member of the Far Hills Lodge F& AM, Scottish Rite, and Antioch Temple Shrine. Victor retired from Western Southern Life Insurance after 30 years of service. He was preceded in death by his wife, Elizabeth “Betty” Carter. Victor is survived by his two sons, Robert (Carolyn) Carter, of Kettering and Charles Carter, of Chillicothe; two daughters, Nancy Strawmyer, of Hillsboro and Judy Waln, of Travelers Rest, SC; grandchildren, Robert (Kathy), Diana (Tim) Leonard, Joanna (Doug) Trent, Matthew, Rachel, Benjermin Strawmyer, Zeboriah (Josette) Strawmyer, and Adam Strawmyer; and 8 great grandchildren. A memorial service will be held on Sunday, February 5, 2006, at The Church of the Cross, 3121 Wilmington Pike, Kettering, at 3:00 PM with Rev. John Whitaker officiating. Burial in David’s Cemetery. Family will receive friends from 2:30 PM until time of service at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Dayton 324 Wilmington Ave. Dayton, OH 45420 or charity of choice.
